Enock Mwepu, 24, who plays as a midfielder for Brighton, has been diagnosed with hereditary heart disease. Mwepu has been asked to stop playing competitive football as he could be at risk of cardiac arrest. Mwepu’s illness was discovered after returning from the international break. He flew to join the Zambian national team but fell ill on the plane after returning to Brighton after medical checks. They found him with a heart problem.
